I obviously did not get my 2016 year in review series completed before the end of the year, but, better late then never right? :)
March:
In which:
-Future brother-in-law visits (his name is Scott by the way).
-More renovation work is done in the kitchen: the carpet ripped out and the new flooring put down, and we install our new counter tops and refurbished old farm sink (which was in this kitchen many years ago)! Yay!
-There is an official proposal, Savannah gets a ring, and I shoot their engagement photos...
-Craziness ensues.
-craziness regarding wedding planning...
-craziness regarding bridesmaid dresses, first finding the right pattern and then finding the material, that was a nightmare, but it was mostly on Racheal's shoulders, so I'll let you ask her about that... :)
-We had a brief lunch visit with our brothers, and I gave them a trial version of how I was planning for the wedding cakes to be designed (since we don't eat cake, we couldn't eat the trial...Thanks for being the guinea pigs guys! :D )
-Savannah's wedding dress was in the making...
-And just life on the farm, animals, work, ect. etc.
In which:
-There was wedding planning--lots of it....
-And, our gray kitty had kittens...5 gray kittens, the sweetest you've ever met!
May:
In which:
-The most memorable highlight was Racheal and my attendance of a Civil War reenactment.
We had tent trouble, and had to duct-tape our poles together...nifty stuff duct-tape!
We got to ride a train...that was a first, and so very much fun!!
-Also in May I took over shop keeping at the little vintage shop we had at the local Mini-Mall (incidentally, we ended up having to shut our shop down the end of August).
Have a pleasant evening!
