We have begun to plant our garden, but it isn't half done yet...
I learned how to mow the other day, that may be a shock to some of you, "You're 17 and you don't know how to mow the grass!?", but 'tis true, well, until the other day, though I'm no pro! I began by being breifed by Daddy as to how the machine worked, then a demonstration, and then being placed attop the mower and away I went, slowly mowing down the wheat that was planted as a cover crop over our garden plot. After that I mowed part of the yard, so if anyone sees funny looking lines in the yard instead of neat rows, they'll know why. Then I began to sneeze, and sneeze, and a little more...and I was hungry so I was ready to quit. Mom took over and I came inside. My sneezles went away after a bit and I washed the dishes and made supper while watching two eppisodes of The Riflemen and Dragnet (old TV shows, for those of you who might not know).
Before that, in the morning we had gone out to breakfast (a rareity) with the farmers market master and the potential vendors to learn the new rules, who all will be vending, what they'll be selling etc. I enjoyd it, the coffee was really good and the eggs and bacon were good too....
