I am sure that I have long since lost your readership and your interest, as my blog has been very dead for most of the year...it has been a very long, and terribly short year! As a few lines from a poem I once wrote state:
"How very fast,
Slow time does go.
It goes so fast,
Yet goes so slow,
That it's here at last,
Yet is a shadow past.
There at last and gone forever,
In the selfsame moment,
For a second quivers,
Life in the balance of consuming time,
Second by second,
And each breath of mine."
There is more, but this section alone I think conveys what I mean...
Anyhow, I wish to post as per my habit, a "year in review" post (or posts as it may so happen) to tell y'all about my year. So without further introduction: My 2016!
January:
I cannot think of much spectacular that occurred...It seems the only event of note was that it came to be that Savannah was to be married later in the year! (More on that in due course...)
The below photos are from our January 6th (Epiphany) celebration.
The only note of event I can recall from this month is that my sisters and I paid a visit to our dear Uncle Al...for his wedding! Unfortunately Mom and Daddy were not able to accompany us. Uncle Al has a very nice house, most of the work in/on it he has done himself.
It was such a privilege to be there for that special occasion!!
I actually didn't get any photo's of Uncle Al or his dear wife while we were there...But I do have a few photo's of the trip. On the homeward journey we met up with our brother Andy, and chatted for a while...drinking lemonade and coffee. I will leave it to you to guess who was drinking what!
Savannah had ordered a vintage wedding which arrived in this month, but though it was beautiful, it was too large on her so she had to send it back.
But first, a few random photos...
